Formation drone

• 1st day of the drone training under the GEANTech project. In this session, the participants have been introduced to drone technologies from Dr Stone and DJI, the requirements, and the advantages of the usage of drone imagery in agriculture.
• 2nd day included the description of the different types of images of interest (RGB, thermal, NIR, NR, …), as well as the field preparation for the imaging collection.
• 3th day was an on-site mission in the region of Sebt El Guerdane, where we put ground control points (GCPs) all over the plot, we used the D-RTK station to captured the coordinates of the GCPs. Lastly, we captured drone images of the plot of interest.
• 4th day of the training focused on image processing and analysis. The training included RBG and thermal images and the creation of the orthophoto of the plot.
• The 5th and final day of the training was a continuation of the image analysis as well as results discussion.
